Atlanta-Avoiding LASIK in eyes with forme fruste keratoconus, low predicted stromal bed thickness, low preoperative corneal pachymetry, and high myopia can help prevent ectasia. When it occurs, however, good corrected visual acuity can usually be achieved with rigid gas-permeable contact lenses, according to R.
